Scientific satellite CubeSat-12U to be launched into orbit in 2027
The spacecraft is being developed with the support of Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is developing the scientific and technological satellite CubeSat-12U, together with colleagues from Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic.
Kazakhstani specialists are responsible for design and assembly, Uzbek specialists for the engine, and Turkish specialists for solar panels and software (SW). The head of the Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic, Zhaslan Madiyev, stated that Turkic states will be able to jointly implement complex scientific tasks.
We have combined competencies: Kazakhstani satellite construction, Uzbek engineering, Turkish IT solutions.
The launch of CubeSat-12U is scheduled for 2027. The satellite is currently in the assembly stage.
The ministry's press service emphasized that thanks to such cooperation, countries can exchange experience and create a high-tech product. New discoveries will be made with the help of the spacecraft, the department concluded.
