Schoolchildren from Kazakhstan took first place at the drone soccer championship in the USA
A ninth-grader from Astana became the best in the Super Pilot discipline
Five teams from Kazakhstan participated in the international FIDA USA Drone Soccer Championship, which took place in Palm Springs. The schoolchildren returned home with gold in two disciplines. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic.
In the individual Super Pilot discipline, ninth-grader Amantai Arsen from Astana took first place. Second place was awarded to eighth-grader Khairalla Aisultan from the same city.
In the team Drone Soccer Class 20 competition, Kazakhstani drone pilots took the entire podium (1st to 3rd place). In total, more than 100 teams from 17 countries participated in the championship.
For me, this is one of the first truly big international victories for Kazakhstani drone soccer.
Drone soccer — is a team sport in which athletes control drones in a spherical protective shell. A match involves 10 people: 5 on each side. The goal of the game is to fly a drone through the opponent's ring, scoring a goal.
