100% Localization: The first batch of 13-6922 model flat wagons delivered to KTZ-Express
The rolling stock was assembled at the RWS Wagon plant in Petropavlovsk
The RWS Wagon plant (Petropavlovsk) has supplied 550 flat wagons for international container transportation between China and Europe. In total, the contract between KTZ-Express and RWS Wagon provides for the delivery of 2,700 units of 80-foot flat wagons of model 13-6922. This was reported by the press service of Railways Systems KZ.
The agreement is concluded for four years, and the shipment of rolling stock must be completed by 2030.
According to the schedule, 910 flat wagons are planned for delivery in 2026, and another 1,790 units in 2027.
The 13-6922 flat wagons are designed for transporting large-capacity containers. They can be operated on railways with a 1520 mm gauge. The flat wagon frame is made of an all-metal welded structure.
The press service of Railways Systems KZ emphasized that the localization level of the flat wagons is 100%. Production includes metal rolling preparation, frame welding, installation of braking, coupling, and hinged equipment, painting, and final assembly.
The production base of RWS Wagon is constantly being modernized. Thanks to this, the enterprise can increase the output of widely demanded products.
