Over 120 Thousand Passenger Cars and Trucks Assembled in Kazakhstan in 2026

From January to July 2026, machine-building enterprises produced goods worth 3.23 trillion tenge, which is 13.3% more than in the same period of 2025. Significant growth was recorded in the automotive industry, reported the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan.

There are 11 factories operating in the republic, assembling passenger cars, trucks, buses, and special equipment. In 2025, enterprises produced over 171 thousand units of vehicles (TS).

For the 8 months of the current year – over 124.1 thousand units of vehicles. For the eight months of 2026, Allur (SaryarkaAvtoProm, located in Kostanay) produced 47,619 cars, Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan – 33,102 units, Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan – 25,066 units, Kia Qazaqstan – 12,290 units.

The press service of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan emphasized that enterprises are implementing advanced automated solutions. For example, Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan employs 17 industrial robots, Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan – 54, and Kia Qazaqstan – 68.

In Kostanay, Allur implemented an AI system that controls welding quality. In addition, robotic body painting is used there. Computer vision helps to check products for compliance with design characteristics.

In 2026, the number of automotive industry workers in Kazakhstan increased to 11 thousand people (+62.5% compared to 2024). Another approximately 9 thousand people are employed in related fields.
