KTZ: New turnouts successfully passed pilot industrial tests at Bozshakol station
At Bozshakol railway station in Pavlodar region, pilot industrial tests of R-65 type turnouts of 1/9 and 1/11 brands, projects RWS001PMKZ.00.000 and RWS002PMKZ.00.000, have been completed. This was reported by the KTZ press service.

The track connection device is manufactured at Railways Systems KZ facilities.
The new design features flexible switch rails and a monoblock frog with welded rail ends.
Advantages of the new design:
- reliability
- increase in train speed up to 160 km/h
- extended service life
R-65 type turnouts of 1/9 and 1/11 brands were laid using a modern DESEC track-laying machine. Similar devices will be gradually implemented in other sections of the railway.
Railways Systems KZ specialists are also preparing for the production of a turnout designed for speeds up to 200 km/h on the straight track. The total length of the 1/11 brand turnout is 39,063 mm.
