Professor Ruslan Nurlybayev from Satbayev University has developed a new generation of building materials based on recycled industrial waste. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.

Scientists led by Nurlybayev combined Kazakhstani mineral raw materials and waste. This approach makes the final product environmentally friendly and economically beneficial.

The technologies are protected by patents, and the finished materials comply with national standards and are in demand in the market.

As part of the project, the Diatomite plant for the production of dry building mixes was opened in Almaty. The company has organized an automated line. The production volume is up to 20 thousand tons of products per year.

This project is a good example that is planned to be scaled up throughout the country, when universities act not only as training centers, but also as drivers of industrial development.
