Police officers in the Almaty region are cracking down on gross violations of traffic rules (traffic laws) that could lead to an accident. Law enforcement officers are using drones, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.
Currently, patrol police officers are actively using modern technologies. Today, 14 drones are used in police units.
Drones record the most dangerous traffic violations, including driving into the oncoming lane. The maneuver often causes accidents.
The police of the Almaty region stated that since the beginning of 2026, 59 cases of driving into the oncoming lane have been identified with the help of UAVs. Violators were brought to justice.
Drivers were urged to follow the rules, as the safety of every road user depends on it.
