Kazakhstan Deputy Transport Minister Talgat Lastaev met with Luiza Stols, coordinator of the expert group of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The talks focused on preparing the republic's Civil Aviation Development Master Plan through 2050. This was reported by the ministry's press service.

The vice minister indicated that the plan being developed by ICAO experts will become a strategic guideline for the high-quality and balanced development of Kazakhstan's entire civil aviation system.

Lastaev emphasized that aviation development is receiving great attention at the state level. The authorities are modernizing airport infrastructure, airlines are purchasing new aircraft, and the unmanned aviation sector is growing.

Luiza Stols was told about the work of the Civil Aviation Committee and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan. She was also presented with the key indicators of the industry's development.

The authorities of Kazakhstan expect that ICAO experts will help formulate a realistic Master Plan. It will incorporate a competitive model for the development of the republic's civil aviation industry.
