A PCR Analysis Device for Plant Genome Research Has Appeared at Abai KazNPU

At the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (KazNPU), 6 laboratories for scientific research have opened. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.

At the Department of Chemistry, 5 laboratories have appeared, and at the Department of Biology, 1. Research and development in the fields of analytical chemistry, nanochemistry, electrochemistry, chemical technologies, and experimental biology will be conducted here.

Students and researchers will be able to work with modern equipment. For example, the acquired microscopes make it possible to examine tissues at the level of the smallest structural units, said Associate Professor Kanat Galymbek.

A PCR analysis device was also installed in one of the laboratories to identify genes of plant immune resistance, he added.

The press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan noted that equipping universities with new equipment will help train highly qualified specialists. In addition, modernization of the material and technical base will contribute to the development of research activities.
