A Quantum Technologies Center Has Opened at Al-Farabi KazNU
Fundamental and applied research will be conducted on its basis
The Kazakhstan-Singapore Center for Quantum Technologies has opened at the Farabi Hub Center for Innovative Products and High-Tech Projects of KazNU. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
The companies ASTRASEC PTE and Qubitera also took part in implementing the project. The ministry clarified that the center will conduct research, develop quantum-secure communications, and train a new generation of specialists:
- engineers
- researchers
- technology entrepreneurs
Specialists will be able to work in a modern laboratory of quantum cryptography and quantum communications. It has been equipped with advanced photonic systems and educational experimental equipment.
The creation of the Kazakhstan-Singapore Center for Quantum Technologies at Al-Farabi KazNU opens up major opportunities for the development of the country's science and economy.
On the day of the center's opening, a round table was held during which issues of quantum cybersecurity and the protection of intellectual property in the development of projects related to quantum technologies were discussed.
