The digital AI assistant eGov.GPT, based on artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan, which helps citizens receive public services, was named the best in the nomination GovTech Project of the Year. The award ceremony took place at the international forum AI & Digital Bridge 2026 in Astana, the press service of the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Development of Kazakhstan reported.
The expert jury of the AI & Digital Bridge Awards 2026 selects projects that have contributed to the development of AI and the country's digital transformation. This year, the eGov.GPT development by the company "National Information Technologies" (AO "NIT") became such a product.
For the past year, we have been actively working on the eGov.GPT project, which allows users to quickly and conveniently receive public services and offerings through queries.
According to him, the team developed the digital assistant taking into account user feedback and implemented new features in a short time.
The eGov.GPT chatbot increases the accessibility of public services through the use of AI technologies. A citizen asks a question in free form and receives the necessary information. This simplifies the search for suitable services.
Currently, with the help of eGov.GPT, more than 50 services can be obtained, including identity card issuance and medical certificates. By the end of 2026, their number will increase to 150. In parallel, developers are improving the service, reducing waiting times.
