Members of the Telecommunications Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of Kazakhstan inspected areas in the East Kazakhstan region where communication problems were recorded. The work is being carried out as part of the implementation of the national project "Affordable Internet", the press service of the department reported.

The Head of the Telecommunications Committee, Damir Seisembekov, instructed to prepare schedules for the construction of fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) in each settlement. At the same time, villages with a small population can be excluded from the coverage plan only with the consent of the akimat, if there are alternative solutions for providing Internet access.

In the East Kazakhstan region, residents of 12 remote villages with difficult terrain will be able to connect to the Internet via OneWeb satellites. In 8 other villages where Tele2/Altel operates, access may appear earlier than planned.

In Ust-Kamenogorsk, 24 locations with communication problems were identified. Of these, 22 "white spots" have already been eliminated.

Specialists are completing the installation of equipment in the Yagodka dacha settlement, and are selecting a site for the installation of a base station in the Bolashak microdistrict. In addition, documents are being processed for land lease for 7 dual-purpose poles (ODN, vertical metal structures that simultaneously serve for street lighting and cellular communication equipment placement).
