The head of the Telecommunications Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, Damir Seisembekov, made a working trip to Shymkent. He checked the quality of mobile communications in areas with low coverage. This was reported by the press service of the department.
The working group visited the Nauryz and Nurtas microdistricts, where communication interruptions were recorded. The problem of "white spots" is associated with a lack of infrastructure and the wary attitude of local residents towards the installation of base stations.
Representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, telecom operators and the sanitary and epidemiological service met with residents of Shymkent. Citizens were explained the principle of operation of base stations, and also assured of their safety.
Also during the trip, issues of connecting communication facilities to power grids and reducing the construction time of infrastructure were discussed.
The ministry noted that they will continue to work with the population to improve the quality of communication in the city.
