The corresponding instruction was given by Prime Minister Bektenov
Kazakhstan's authorities must accelerate the implementation of the unified digital platform Smart Turmys, as it is an important tool for the development of the communal sector. This was stated at a government meeting by Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
Digital tools in the energy and communal sectors ensure transparency and higher efficiency of all business processes.
The instruction was given to the Ministry of Industry and Construction and the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan. The head of government also set the task of approving a single standard for utility resource metering devices and software (SW) by September 1, 2026.
Smart Turmys is a national digital platform being developed to transform the housing and communal services sector. Its main task is to combine key utility services (water supply, heat supply, electricity supply, gas supply, and waste removal) into a single digital interface.
The first modules of Smart Turmys are planned to be launched for pilot operation in the fourth quarter of 2026. Then, billing centers, service providers will be connected to the platform, and smart metering devices will be integrated.
