Kazakhstani Schoolchildren Took Third Place at Robotics Tournament in China
The CaoLu Cup was held in Shanghai
The Water 7 team from the Zhylyandy boarding school for gifted children (Zhetysu region) won 2 awards at the international robotics tournament The CaoLu Cup. The event took place in Shanghai, the press service of the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan reported.
The schoolchildren took 3rd place in the Inspire Award nomination and received the special Judges' Choice Award.
The Water 7 team consisted of 10th-11th grade students. The team was prepared for the international tournament by coaches Aidos Ordabayev and Almas Zhanatov.
This achievement is another confirmation of the high level of engineering thinking, teamwork, and technological readiness of Kazakhstani schoolchildren.
The CaoLu Cup tournament is held as part of the FIRST Tech Challenge program. Its participants design, assemble, and program robots. Teams from Asian countries and other regions of the world competed for the main prize.
