Pilots' Simulators Shown to Schoolchildren at Astana International Airport

Schoolchildren visited Astana International Airport, where they were given tours and told about the pilot profession. The event took place within the framework of the educational initiative Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan.

The head of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, Saltanat Tompiyeva, was present at the meeting with the students. According to her, such events are necessary for the development of the global aviation community.

The ICAO NGAP program and the global ambassadors initiative create a strong foundation for training a new generation of specialists.

Air Astana specialists demonstrated the operation of aviation simulators. Schoolchildren tried their hand as pilots.

They also visited an aircraft and familiarized themselves with the cockpit. Ground staff told them about the activities of fire and rescue units.

Ninth-grader Aruzhan Akhpanbetova stated that she liked the aviation simulator the most. After this demonstration, many of her classmates wanted to connect their lives with aviation, the girl added.
