Researchers at Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov have invented a gas purification technology that significantly reduces the content of dust and harmful substances in industrial emissions. At the same time, domestic equipment is used, the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan reported.
The new technology is based on a system of bag filters. It is adapted for the metallurgical, energy, food industries and the production of building materials. The project results are being implemented at some factories in Aktobe, Aksu and Ekibastuz. Solutions from Aktobe scientists are already being used at the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant.
After applying this technology at the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant, it was found that the amount of dust and harmful components in industrial emissions was reduced by approximately 40 times.
Industrial gases are filtered and exit the pipe in a purified form. This reduces the burden on the city's ecology.
The development report was registered at the National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise. The project authors received a state grant of 350 million tenge.
