In Kazakhstan, the repair of the road network will continue in 2026. It is planned to cover about 8.9 thousand km of roads with various types of work. This was stated by Darakhan Imanashev, Chairman of the Management Board of the National Company "KazAvtoZhol".
- construction and reconstruction of 3.4 thousand km of roads
- major repairs of 324 km of roads
- medium repairs of 5.2 thousand km of roads
- restoration of 53 emergency bridge structures
For this, 10 million cubic meters of graded crushed stone, 210 thousand tons of bitumen, and 230 thousand cubic meters of reinforced concrete products will be prepared. During the road construction season, more than 25 thousand workers will be involved, and over 12 thousand units of special equipment will be used.
The government press service reported that the modernization of border infrastructure will continue this year. This refers to checkpoints on the internal border of the EAEU. By the end of 2028, 37 checkpoints will be upgraded.
