Aluminum wheel rims to be produced in Kazakhstan

Astana Motors to participate in the project

The first modern full-cycle plant for the production of aluminum wheel rims will appear in Kazakhstan. The corresponding memorandum with foreign partners was signed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Roman Sklyar, the press service of the government of Kazakhstan reported.

The event was attended by Mustafa Akkari, CEO of Open Element (USA), and Seung Hyun Chang, Chairman of Hands Corporation (South Korea), and the management of Astana Motors. Investment cooperation and project implementation were discussed at the meeting.

  • deepening localization in the automotive industry
  • reducing import dependence
  • development of related industries
  • strengthening industrial potential and cooperation

The press service of the government emphasized that the construction of the new enterprise is part of Kazakhstan's strategy. The country will become a major supplier of domestically produced auto components for the domestic and foreign markets.
