From January to September 2026, Kazakhstan produced 144 thousand units of vehicles, including 136.5 thousand passenger cars, over 1.8 thousand buses, and 5.8 thousand units of cargo and special equipment. This was reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of the republic.
The growth in indicators is due to increased domestic demand and the reaching of planned capacity by previously launched projects.
This is not the only sector of the economy where positive dynamics have been recorded. Since the beginning of 2026, growth in manufacturing has amounted to 8.6%. The volume of production in mechanical engineering increased by 22.8% due to an increase in the output of vehicles, agricultural machinery, and railway equipment.
Kazakhstan has more than 10 plants that assemble passenger and commercial vehicles, buses, and special equipment. These include Allur in Kostanay, Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan and Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan in Almaty, Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan in Semey, and others. They assemble models of Chinese, Japanese, and American brands.
