Over 7 years, the eGov Mobile application has become one of Kazakhstan's key digital platforms, with an audience reaching 13.2 million users. Citizens have access to more than 1,100 government services on the platform, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic reported.

The first project - mGov - was launched in 2012. At that time, users could obtain address and pension certificates, pay fines and taxes. By 2019, the number of services had increased to almost 70. In the same year, developers introduced a new design and renamed the application to eGov Mobile.

In 2020, biometric identification appeared in the application, which simplified identity verification when receiving public services.
