KB "Stapel" has completed the development and transfer of the technical design for the modular floating pumping station (PNS-5-7500) to the Kazakhstan company TOO "Bekbolatovtar Kurulys Kompaniyasy". The Kazakhstan Shipping Register oversees the construction of the facility, which is being carried out by the customer. This was announced by the bureau's press service.
PNS-5-7500 is a non-self-propelled object consisting of five modules with superstructure-pavilions. The total capacity of the five main Grundfos electric pumps is 12,500 m³/h.
The station is expected to be installed on the Ural River near Atyrau. The facility will help solve the water supply problem in western Kazakhstan. PNS-5-7500 will operate 24/7 in automated mode.
To protect against winter accidents caused by ice and slush formation, buoyancy pontoons with guardrails are installed on three sides of the hull. To prevent icing, five ice-hole generators (2000 m³/h each) and electric convectors for heating are provided. To prevent fish from entering, ROP-500 devices are installed on each suction pipeline.
The operation of the mechanisms does not require constant staff presence and is controlled remotely from a shore post via an Ethernet interface. On-duty personnel will be able to periodically inspect the facility.
