Kazakhstan and South Korea to Deepen Space Cooperation
Members of the Aerospace Committee under the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan and the Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA) participated in a meeting on cooperation in space activities. This was reported by the press service of the agency.
A delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, led by Zhaslan Madiyev, visited South Korea, the press service explained.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as potential areas for further interaction in space activities, were discussed.
Within the framework of this meeting, a number of important documents were signed. In particular, an agreement between the Aerospace Committee, NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" and CONTEC. Korean specialists will assist in the development of satellite manufacturing, ground infrastructure, and processing of data from Earth remote sensing satellites.
NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" and Nara Space Technology agreed to obtain satellite data for monitoring methane emissions in the republic. This refers to information from the GYEONGGISat-2A and GYEONGGISat-2B spacecraft, as well as the NarSha satellite constellation.
In addition, the working group participants signed an investment agreement on the development of cooperation between CONTEC and the Kazakhstani TOO "Ghalam". The document provides for strengthening technological potential and developing new competencies.
