All data is transferred to E-Joldar: mobile laboratories with AI will assess road quality in Kazakhstan

Three cameras record the condition of transport infrastructure

Advanced mobile laboratories equipped with artificial intelligence technologies are being introduced in Kazakhstan to assess the condition of transport infrastructure and improve road safety. This was stated by Daniyar Zakirzhan, leading specialist of JSC "KazdorNII".

The intelligent complex automates the collection of data on the geometric parameters and technical condition of the road surface. The system is equipped with 3 cameras for recording road signs and markings, as well as ultrasonic sensors for monitoring surface evenness. In addition, the mobile laboratory has a rear camera with laser scanning. It detects pavement defects.

The information is transmitted to the unified digital system E-Joldar, which combines the databases of "KazAvtoZhol", "KazdorNII" and the National Center for Road Asset Quality. The platform provides real-time monitoring of road projects at all stages (from design and construction to repair and operation). E-Joldar with AI can also predict the likelihood of repair for a particular road.
