Kazakhstani Schoolchildren Win Prizes at FIRST LEGO League Championship in Hong Kong
More than 120 teams from 30 countries participated in the competition
Two school robotics teams from Almaty represented Kazakhstan at the international FIRST LEGO League Hong Kong Championship 2026. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of the republic.
This year, more than 120 strongest teams and over 900 schoolchildren from more than 30 countries participated in the championship.
The PEAK (PhysTech School Almaty) team took first place in the Runner-Up category and received the special Most Innovative Booth Award. The jury noted their innovative exhibition booth. In the Robot Game nomination, they were sixth. The Future Axions 218 team took second place in the Runner-Up Invitational category.
The press service of the department emphasized that the achievements of schoolchildren in the international arena are the result of the development of STEM education and robotics in Kazakhstan. Educators are implementing new educational programs to develop engineering and digital competencies.
