The "Samruk-Kazyna" fund must solve the tasks set by the President of Kazakhstan for economic growth. As part of this work, digital and energy infrastructure is being built in the regions. This became known during a meeting of the fund's Board of Directors with the participation of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
The agenda included issues of implementing large investment projects.
All responsible government agencies, including the management of the Fund and the group's companies, must maximize their efforts, resources, and immediately begin this great work.
Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Board of "Samruk-Kazyna", stated that over the past 3 years, the fund has implemented more than 34 investment projects with a total value of 3.3 trillion tenge. This includes the creation of new energy capacities and the construction of power grid facilities.
In 2026, it is planned to complete 16 investment projects with a total value of 3.3 trillion tenge. One of the key areas is digital transformation. It covers projects related to the construction of data centers in the city of Kosshy, Akmola region, and the laying of a fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea.
The government's press service reported that a new supercomputer cluster will be launched in Kosshy in October. With its help, the computing power of "Samruk-Kazyna" will increase 4 times. In addition, the fund is implementing AI solutions to automate business processes.
