Traction rolling stock sent to Pavlodar, Astana depots

A batch of 14 Alstom electric locomotives and CRRC shunting locomotives was transferred to KTZ in May. Of these, 7 were sent to Pavlodar, 3 to Zhanaarkinsky depot, and 4 to Astana. This was reported by the press service of the national carrier.

In total, since the beginning of 2026, KTZ's locomotive fleet has been replenished with 86 units of traction rolling stock. These include Wabtec and CRRC mainline diesel locomotives, Alstom electric locomotives, and CRRC shunting locomotives.

KTZ emphasized that the fleet renewal contributes to ensuring railway safety. In addition, modern locomotives have improved working conditions for crews. The cabins are equipped with climate control systems, refrigerators, and comfortable seats.

Shunting locomotives are also equipped with a video surveillance system consisting of 8 cameras, a video recorder, 2 control panels, a "Bort" system, and digital radio communication. Thanks to the updated design, maintenance of the rolling stock has become easier.
