Robots started diagnosing heating networks in Shymkent

Artificial intelligence technologies are used in heat power engineering in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Shymkent held an educational seminar on the introduction of digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in heat power engineering. This was reported by the press service of the department.

The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, monopoly entities, international and scientific organizations, experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan.

Key tasks included creating digital twins of heating mains and developing predictive infrastructure management. The Akimat of Shymkent presented a pilot project for diagnosing heating networks using an AI robot.

Based on the results of the implementation, the practical effectiveness of the project was confirmed, and the achieved economic effect amounted to 76.2%.

This approach helps to identify the wear and tear of heating mains and set repair deadlines. Modern solutions in diagnostics and a risk-oriented approach to infrastructure management will increase the reliability of heating networks, according to the department.
