The Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, Dauren Kosanov, opened the Defense Tech IT Park of Defense Technologies. The innovative platform, which started operating at the Army House in Almaty, is designed to develop and implement technological solutions for the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
Defense Tech IT Park has become one of the stages in the development of the Defense Tech initiative, which the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan has been implementing since 2022. It is aimed at creating an innovative ecosystem to ensure national security.
As part of the presentation, the developers showed robot dogs, unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, video surveillance systems, and data analytics.
Today, the level of defense capability of the state is directly related to technological development. Our task is to shorten the path from idea to practical implementation of solutions in the troops.
The founder of Freedom Holding Corp., Timur Turlov, stated that Defense Tech IT Park will become a point of attraction for talented specialists in the field of defense development.
Students-IT specialists, including those studying at military departments, will be engaged on the basis of the new IT park. They will be able to participate in hackathons and accelerators, Turlov summarized.
