Scientists at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) have developed the EcoFarabi AI virtual advisor. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
This digital platform aims to raise public awareness of environmental issues, promote the principles of sustainable development, and support environmental protection initiatives.
The digital platform will help shape an environmental culture. EcoFarabi AI answers users' questions about waste sorting, informs about various environmental events, and provides recommendations on how to save energy, reduce water consumption, and apply green technologies.
The virtual advisor was developed by teachers of the Higher School of Economics and Business of KazNU, Asel Boranbay and Ilyas Kuliyev. With their project, the researchers supported the national initiative «Clean Kazakhstan».
The authors plan to scale EcoFarabi AI to other higher education institutions, schools, and public institutions. In addition, they will create a mobile application and prepare online lessons on ecology.
The platform is currently available as a chatbot via the Telegram messenger. With its help, you can quickly receive environmental information and advice.
