At Toraighyrov University in Pavlodar, the artificial intelligence (AI) laboratory AI-Laboratory was opened. The ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan's Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek.
It is a modern scientific and educational platform designed to develop artificial intelligence technologies, create digital solutions, and implement innovative IT projects by students.
Based at AI-Laboratory, students and young scientists will be able to work in the following areas:
- machine learning,
- data analysis,
- computer vision,
- automation and development of intelligent systems.
Thanks to the new infrastructure, the educational process will be accompanied by practical training.
Nurbek stated that scientists help create the country's technological future. It is their developments that ensure competitiveness in the world. Therefore, support for science is so important for the development of Kazakhstan, he emphasized.
After the ceremony, the minister familiarized himself with the university's scientific and educational infrastructure. He was shown the modernized laboratories of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Standardization. CNC machines and industrial simulators have appeared here.
Nurbek inspected the laboratory complex of the Department of Metallurgy. Research is conducted there in the areas of hydrogen reduction, hydrometallurgical processes, forging technologies, and metal rolling technologies. The modernization of these laboratories was carried out within the framework of grant funding.
