AstraZeneca to help improve the skills of medical professionals in Kazakhstan

Kozybayev University signed a corresponding agreement

Representatives of the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca in Kazakhstan visited M. Kozybayev University. The guests familiarized themselves with the university's laboratory infrastructure. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.

The university has laboratories for microbiology, multimodal microscopy, environmental toxicology and biodiversity, and water resources. One of the rooms houses advanced medical equipment.

As the only university in the region, we see such meetings as an important opportunity to develop communications and identify promising joint projects.

Following the negotiations, the university management and «AstraZeneca Kazakhstan» signed a memorandum of cooperation. Within its framework, seminars and conferences will be organized to improve the skills of medical workers.

Thanks to the support of the foreign company, doctors will be able to acquire new competencies in the field of endoscopy, asthma, hypertension and oncological diseases. It is also planned to allocate a grant under the AstraZeneca Young Health Program.
