Two supercomputers have been launched, and a third powerful supercomputer will be commissioned by the end of the year. The laying of a fiber-optic backbone along the bed of the Caspian Sea has been completed, and data processing centers are being built.

Tokayev admitted that in Kazakhstan, digitalization is often substituted with the automation of existing processes. The implementation of digital technologies should not come down to purchasing expensive software without understanding its benefits, the head of state added.

We have only begun work on the commercialization of artificial intelligence, asset tokenization, and the development of blockchain technologies and digital platform ecosystems.

According to Tokayev, Kazakhstan is ahead of many countries in creating various digital services. In particular, millions of citizens use banking products daily and make purchases on online marketplaces, but it is necessary to develop further, the president emphasized.

The next step is expanding opportunities. Kazakhstan must shift its paradigm to build a “people’s digital economy,” Tokayev concluded.
