The Astana Police Department has deployed four robot dogs with integrated artificial intelligence technologies on the city streets to monitor public order and prevent offenses. This was reported by the agency's press service.
Currently, robot dogs are operating in shopping centers and crowded places, helping police officers monitor the situation in public spaces.
Robot dogs are equipped with video cameras, through which information is transmitted to the Operational Control Center in real time. Artificial intelligence allows identifying individuals on the wanted list.
The four-legged patrol compares faces in the crowd with photos from the database; if a match is found, a corresponding notification is sent to law enforcement. This approach helps the police identify criminals and increase the speed of response to potential threats, the department concluded.
