Almost 100 Thousand Cars Produced in Kazakhstan Since Early 2026

The share of small-node assembly increased to 28.3%

Kazakhstan is diversifying its economy, transitioning from large-node assembly to the production of high-value-added goods. Since early 2026, the republic has produced over 96 thousand cars. This was reported by the official information resource of the Prime Minister.

Production growth has been recorded in all segments:

  • passenger cars (+37.2%)
  • buses (+27.6%)
  • specialized vehicles (+45.1%)

At the same time, the share of small-node assembly reached 28.3%. Thanks to the launch of full-cycle plants KIA Qazaqstan (Kostanay) and Astana Motors Manufacturing (Almaty), the volume of passenger car production will increase by 90 thousand units per year. In addition, the production of tires, batteries, seats, and multimedia systems has been established for their products.

Mechanical engineering is becoming one of the examples of the transition to more complex domestic production — in 7 months, the industry grew by 22%, producing goods worth 3.2 trillion tenge.

Concurrently, the capacities of enterprises producing agricultural machinery are growing. Currently, 10 Kazakh plants operate in this sector, satisfying 90% of the domestic market's demand for tractors and combines.
