Kazakhstani engineers studied Chinese experience in using FengYun satellites

The Republic needs Earth remote sensing technologies

Specialists from the Space Systems Department of NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" completed an educational program in China on the application of satellite data and meteorological technologies. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic.

Kazakhstani engineers studied the experience of their Chinese colleagues. The discussion focused on the operation of FengYun series satellites (used for weather and climate observation, data transmission) and the MAZU intelligent early warning system. Specialists learned about new technologies and saw how they work in practice.

Kazakhstan, with its vast territory, particularly needs effective satellite monitoring. This provides an opportunity to quickly obtain data for large areas and not rely solely on ground infrastructure.

Where space technologies are in demand:

  • scientific tasks
  • natural resource observation
  • monitoring of agricultural land conditions
  • forecasting dangerous natural phenomena
  • emergency prevention

The creation of its own technological sector is also associated with the training of specialists working with Earth remote sensing data. China is actively introducing new technologies in this area and can help Kazakhstan in this direction. The Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic believes that the exchange of experience with Chinese colleagues will contribute to the sustainable development of the space industry.
