Telemedicine services have started to be provided in a new outpatient clinic in Gagarin village, Bukhar-Zhyrau district, Karaganda region. This was reported to the head of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, Akmaral Alnazarova, during her visit to the settlement.
92 rural healthcare facilities have been built in the region. The authorities' task is to provide quality medical care to every resident.
Telemedicine is becoming one of the key tools for solving this problem.
The minister was shown how a consultation with a specialist from the regional oncology center takes place using a telemedicine platform. Since 2025, employees of 117 rural medical organizations in the Karaganda region have been using similar technologies.
Residents of the region can receive consultations from a cardiologist, traumatologist, neurosurgeon, and other specialists. In total, 118 types of medical services are available to patients remotely. Last year, 3.87 million telemedicine services were provided, which is 19% more than in 2024.
