Tractor and Combine Harvester Manufacturers in Kazakhstan Provide Up to 90% of the Domestic Market

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic Published Data on Agricultural Machinery Localization

In Kazakhstan, there are 10 factories that supply 90% of the domestic market for tractors and combine harvesters. This includes the localized assembly of John Deere equipment in Kostanay and CLAAS in Petropavlovsk. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic.

According to the agency, preferential leasing is also actively developing in the country.

Thanks to the increase in funding for the preferential leasing program at 5% per annum to 350 billion tenge by 2026, the rate of fleet renewal has grown to 6.5%.

In 2025, agricultural enterprises acquired 25 thousand units of machinery, of which 10.4 thousand units were acquired using the leasing mechanism. The share of agricultural machinery produced in Kazakhstan in the procurement structure increased to 95%.

The Republic also purchases tractors and other agricultural machinery from China, Belarus, Norway, Sweden, and Germany. The majority comes from Chinese products. For example, in 2024, Kazakhstan received about 13.8 thousand units of machinery produced in China.

At the same time, the authorities support the localization program and attract foreign investors to open new factories in the republic.
