More than 200 video surveillance cameras with artificial intelligence (AI) technology elements have been installed at Ekibastuz GRES-1 named after B. Nurzhanov. The system will enhance industrial safety and enable prompt response to emergency situations. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
The intelligent system provides real-time monitoring of production facilities and automatically records various violations.
AI recognizes faces, monitors speed limits, maintains an event log, and generates analytics. The complex also includes a communication and notification system that informs personnel about violations.
The system can be controlled in manual or automatic mode. In emergency situations, the system will send a notification to a Telegram channel indicating the incident location, camera number, date, and time of recording. The message will be sent to managers and responsible officials.
Video monitoring and analysis are carried out around the clock. Recordings are stored on servers.
Another level of control is the implementation of "smart helmets" at GRES-1. With their help, video recording and online broadcasts can be provided.
10 Wi-Fi access points have been deployed on the station's territory. Thanks to this, the digital infrastructure operates stably.
