Boiler and Turbine to be Repaired at Karaganda CHPP-3 by New Heating Season

Yertayev Checked the Readiness of Energy Facilities in Kazakhstan's Regions

Yerzhan Yertayev, Head of the State Energy Supervision and Control Committee of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, made a working trip to the Karaganda region, where he checked the readiness of a number of electricity and heat energy facilities for the new heating season. This was reported by the press service of the department.

Yertayev visited Shakhtinsk CHPP, where two boiler units are undergoing major repairs. He then inspected the Sarani city boiler house and Karaganda CHPP-3.

After the project completion, the electrical capacity of CHPP-3 will increase by 140 MW, and thermal capacity by 180 Gcal/hour. Simultaneously, major repairs of one boiler and one turbine are underway at the station.

The ministry representative also visited the TM-3 heating main in Temirtau. Workers are reconstructing a 4.1 km long section of the network.

Work has already been completed on 60% of the heating main. Yertayev instructed the head of the contracting organization to accelerate the pace of construction and installation work to stay on schedule.

During his visit to the Karaganda region, the head of the committee visited GRES-1. A repair campaign is in full swing here, including a major overhaul of the boiler unit. He ordered the mobilization of necessary resources to prepare the facility within the established timeframe.
