Six vertiports for the take-off and landing of the AutoFlight Prosperity electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft will be built in various parts of Kazakhstan by 2028. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the republic.
The ministry clarified that the vertiports will appear in strategically important urban and transport locations, taking into account safety requirements and transport accessibility. The design of the sites is being developed by Italian specialists who have designed similar facilities in other countries.
In parallel, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan is preparing the regulatory framework for the operation of air taxis. Amendments to the current legislation have been developed and are currently under discussion. The adoption of these changes is planned in the near future.
It should be recalled that on May 19, a test flight of the AutoFlight Prosperity (eVTOL) air taxi took place in Alatau City. The event was attended by, among others, Vice Minister of Transport of the republic Talgat Lastayev and representatives of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.
