The award ceremony for the winners of the National AI Governance Cup competition took place at the Alem.ai center in Astana. The head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, attended the event, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Development of Kazakhstan.
In total, 184 applications were submitted for the competition. The jury included members of the AI Development Council under the President, as well as experts. As a result, winners were announced in 6 nominations.
In the category "AI Azamattarga kyzmet", the project "Digital Resuscitation" (Akimat of Karaganda region) won. This is a system for collecting and analyzing data from medical equipment.
In the nomination "AI Economy", "AI-Internal Audit" (Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition) became the best. The program is designed to develop management decisions for market regulation.
In the category "AI Eleumettik sayasat", the Akimat of Astana was awarded. They implemented an AI-based medical examination platform, which reduced the time for conscripts' medical commissions by 75%.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan became the leader in the nomination "AI Kauipsizdik". The Ministry proposed the TOR digital road safety platform. The system integrates computer vision from 30 thousand cameras.
In the category "AI Onir", the Akimat of Akmola region won. Its managers presented the Smart Aqmola platform for monitoring key indicators of regional development.
The winner in the nomination "AI Quasisector" was the company KEGOC. Its specialists developed the Intelligent Energy Consumption Analysis System AI.KEGOC.
The Ministry of Innovation and Digital Development stated that the AI Governance Cup is a platform for exchanging experience and best practices. Successful projects can be scaled to other regions of Kazakhstan.
