Master's student Almaz Kadyrbek presented his innovative project - the Autonomous Robotic Ground Universal System (ARGUS) robot at the Science Week held at Utebayev University. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
ARGUS is a modular platform designed for operation in conditions inaccessible to humans. We are talking about performing various operations in hazardous production areas and transporting goods.
The robot is highly passable. Thanks to the 8×8 wheel formula, ARGUS is able to move on sandy and rocky terrain.
Each wheel is equipped with an individual electric drive. This significantly increased the maneuverability and stability of the platform.
The automated platform is controlled remotely. In the future, Almaz Kadyrbek plans to equip it with an autonomous navigation system.
