The Astana Hub technology hub hosted a presentation of a report by the American research company International Data Corporation (IDC) on the market for public cloud services and commercial data processing centers (DPCs) in Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic.

The event was attended by the head of the department, Zhaslan Madiev, representatives of business and the expert community. According to the minister, the development of digital services and the introduction of AI technologies depend on the availability of computing infrastructure.

Therefore, it is important for the state to understand not only technological trends, but also the actual size of the market, the dynamics of demand and the prospect of capacity growth.

The IDC report indicates that in 2025 the volume of the public cloud services market in the republic reached 117.6 billion tenge. Since 2022, the average annual growth rate has been 26%. One of the main segments of the market is cloud applications in the SaaS model, followed by infrastructure as a service, and platform solutions in third place.

American analysts expect that by 2029 the market volume will grow to 257.2 billion tenge. Demand will be generated by business and government structures against the background of the introduction of AI technologies.

According to data for 2025, the capacity of commercial data centers reached 4 thousand racks, and the load factor - 91%. This confirms the need to expand computing capacity for new projects.
