School students from Almaty won the FIRST robotics championship

The Alem Innovators team will represent Kazakhstan in the finals of the competition in the United States

The Alem Innovators team, which included school students from Almaty, won the Central Asia FIRST Championship in robotics under the FIRST program. The event took place in Astana as part of the ALEM TECH FEST 2026 festival, the press service of the Almaty Akimat reported.

In the FIRST LEGO League Explore category (ages 6-9), the Alem Innovators team won the Champions Award Winner. The students will represent Kazakhstan in the FIRST finals in the United States.

In total, more than 3,000 school students from 7 countries took part in the tournament. Teams Kazbots and Alash also represented Almaty.

Following the results of the competition, the national team of Kazakhstan that will travel to the United States includes:

1) FIRST LEGO League Explore: Alem Innovators;

2) FIRST LEGO League Challenge: FIZTEX, ToleBi Daryn, Tidal Tumble;

3) FIRST Tech Challenge: JelToqSun, TGJ, xCeption, SANA, KAP, Panheya, OVERTIME, Nomadic.Dragons.FTC, FIZMAT ROBOTICS, FoxSlide, MLP, Celestial.
