AI helped detain a wanted man in Uralsk

A video analytics system with facial recognition function was triggered

In one of Uralsk's nightclubs, a video analytics system with facial recognition helped identify a man who was wanted. Information about him was sent to law enforcement officers, the press service of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The agency explained that AI technologies matched the video of the suspect with a photograph from the wanted persons database. Operational officers received the information and arrived at the scene. It later emerged that the detainee is suspected of fraud in the Aktobe Region.

Technology works for safety: digital video analytics allows the police to act faster, more accurately, and more effectively, strengthening search operations and rapid response.
