Manufacturers of household appliances, electronics, and home goods from across the region presented their new products at what has become one of Central Asia's largest exhibitions – the International Electronics and Home Appliances Exhibition HomeTech & Electra 2025.

The concluded exhibition season showed stable growth and interest from manufacturers and the professional community in the project: the number of participants almost doubled compared to the pilot exhibition, while retaining the exhibitors from the first HomeTech & Electra.

The grand opening ceremony of HomeTech & Electra 2025 was attended by honored guests from Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Japan, Turkey, and other countries.

The HomeTech & Electra exhibition has established itself as a platform where both manufacturers and retailers meet. For the Ministry of Trade, the trade turnover in the economy is very important, and household appliances and electronics play a special role in the trade turnover of all our products. In addition, we are all witnessing the rapid development of e-commerce: the share of e-commerce is already 14% of Kazakhstan's economic trade turnover, which is a very impressive volume, and we believe that all participants of this exhibition will make a certain contribution to the development of our trade, - noted Aigul Yepbayeva, Deputy Chairperson of the Trade Committee, MTI RK.

The business forum program “Development of the Electronics and Digital Technologies Market in Central Asia and Adjacent Regions”, held with the support of the Authorized Organization of the Service for Promoting International Cooperation of Enterprises and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Electronic Products under the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, generated significant interest among visitors.

More than 100 participants attended the forum: top officials and representatives of relevant departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state-owned companies, professional associations, industrial organizations, and international business structures and trade and economic missions. Presentations were made by participants of the international initiative to create a Joint Data Security Development Center and a Standardization Center for Demonstrative Application of Cryptography of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries.

The curator and moderator of the session, Mark Low, Chief Expert of the Working Committee of the Digital Technologies Platform for SCO countries, recalled the past conference and forum on the digital economy of SCO countries, where three major Chinese-Kazakhstani projects in the field of digital technologies were signed.

These projects are being implemented in Kazakhstan and can become a locomotive for all of Central Asia, and we will be able to strengthen the digital sovereignty of the entire region, - emphasized Mark Low.

In turn, experts discussed issues of state support for production, cross-border trade, the impact of digitalization on attracting investments to Kazakhstan, and the development of the electronics and digital technologies market.

Digitalization is not some new fashionable cliché; it is more a matter of our country's competitiveness, a matter of sovereignty and security. And here we must take a differentiated approach, adopting technologies from different countries, - noted Sanat Zholdykhan, Chairman of the Board of JSC "National Agency for Innovation Development "QazInnovations" during the panel discussion.

It is noteworthy that within the framework of HomeTech & Electra 2025, the “China (Ningbo) International Consumer Goods Fair - Kazakhstan” was solemnly presented – a key regional sector of China at the international exhibition of electronics and household appliances. With the support of the Ningbo municipality, an exhibition of electronics and household goods was held on an area of more than 500 sq. m., aimed at promoting high-quality, innovative, and environmentally friendly products from leading manufacturers of the metropolis, and meetings with buyers and distributors from Central Asia were also organized.

The main goal of “China (Ningbo) International Consumer Goods Fair — Kazakhstan” is to lay the foundation for a partnership between manufacturers from Ningbo and Kazakhstani businessmen. One of the main priorities of this project is to enter the Central Asian market and develop Silk Road cooperation. Given the current situation, we will definitely sign a cooperation agreement for 2026, - emphasized Shi Guoping, General Director of Ningbo Younage Exhibition Co. LTD.

Also important was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the exhibition organizer – OOO “World Silk Way” represented by co-founder Asiya Burlibayeva and “Ningbo Younage Exhibition Co.” led by Mr. Shi Guoping.

At the same time, one of the highlights of the exhibition was a conference held with the assistance of the professional community of interior designers and architects of Kazakhstan, Professional TANU Association. Specialists from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan discussed trends, technology issues in design, and provided expert recommendations. A key moment was the award ceremony for the winners of the special project HomeTech & Electra 2025 – the Competition for Interior Designers and Architects. The task was to use 3D models of exhibition participants in the visuals. The main prize winner was Anton Petrakov from Almaty, who presented the best work according to the professional jury, “Urban Scandinavian Minimalism”, selected from 120 projects, and who will now travel to factories in China.

Meanwhile, more than 3000 professionals arrived for the 2nd season of the exhibition. Specialists from Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Russia actively exchanged experiences and generally shared their impressions of the exhibition and their stay in Almaty.

We brought a new development, our new plotter, which allows cutting protective solutions for any device: from smartwatches to new multimedia systems for innovative cars. Currently, we are considering options for entering the Kazakhstan market, and HomeTech & Electra seemed to us the most adaptable exhibition to get acquainted with the market. We received huge interest from visitors and colleagues, we made certain contacts, so I think we will appear in Kazakhstan soon, - said Vitaly Fedchenko, General Director of Lamel Spb, who presented the Polish brand “MyScreen”.

Meanwhile, buyers noted the “Made in Kazakhstan” exposition, which included the Silk Road Constructions and Almaty Household Appliances factories. Specialists eagerly shared their opinions on the success of the event: the range of products and variety of brands expanded opportunities for professional procurement.

Our company needs to introduce a new assortment, and then we are looking for new brands, particularly from China. And the exhibition left a good impression – it is a very large project. I met several interesting brands with whom we discussed the possibility of cooperation, we will look at prices, work out logistics, and conditions. It was certainly very interesting to evaluate the quality live, - noted Diana Trunbetova, Category Manager of “Texnomart” from Uzbekistan.

The exhibition organizers also prepared a special B2B corner, which was attended by companies such as OOO “Samruk-Kazyna Contract”, “Wildberries”, “Airba Technodom”, “Texnomart” (Uzbekistan), “Halyk Market”, WAK (Tajikistan). All companies held B2B sessions. Representatives of OOO “Samruk-Kazyna Contract” participated in the business program of the exhibition, and also advised businesses on interaction issues.
